Where the Wild Things Are

When my oldest daughter, Shannon, was a little girl, she loved for me to read her the classic Where the Wild Things Are.  I should have dressed her in Max’s wolf suit and taken her to Yellowstone because the wild things really do live here!

What a glorious plethora of wildlife…it’s like peaking into the past before the country was tamed. We’ve seen buffalo, elk, deer, geese, a mama grizzly and her two cubs and SNOW. It snowed all day yesterday.

Here’s a glimpse…

A moment captured during John’s morning walk near Madison Campground

The bison reign supreme in Yellowstone. They tolerate the people.

Even the water is wild in Yellowstone.

Ever faithful.

Thanks to the caldera, the earth talks to you in Yellowstone…and sometimes it roars.
